haircut and glasses

I had a haircut last Saturday. Well, I look pretty much the same, it was just a trim afer all.
The frame I bought in Wudaokou was sent to Baodao for lenses earlier last Thursday. They said I can take it Saturday, but should be at night. So I went for my new glasses just yesterday after getting back from Mutianyu. This frame is a bit smaller and looks very clean.

I finally get these two things done. I had wanted to get a haircut and change my glasses for quite a long time, even before I head for Beijing. So I'm sooo relieved now. :)

I actually did quite some research before deciding which salon I'm going for the cut. I searched on the Internet and found some suggestions on the website called beijinger.com, of course, I asked my collegues as well.
The interesting thing I found in the process was that it's pretty hard to imagine how different life could be for two people living in the same city.
If you checked out the price of a French salon in Beijing, the price could go up to more than 800RMB just for cutting. While a haircut plus head-washing in a local salon cost no more than 10RMB.
I'm still not quite used to the difference though I knew there's a huge gap between different classes over there.
