got a phone call early in the morning. my dearest granny passed away.
she had been extremely ill for the past year, but her death was still unexpected. mischevious as she was, i thought she would suddenly open her eyes and giggle. but she didn't.
the candle is blown off; our last hope has gone.
we're starting a life without grandma.
may she rest in peace.
may her spirit be with us and her wisdom guide us, as always.

清早Kat的伯父帶我們出門，開車從小巷穿出，已經開始有婦女光著腳、頭頂容器出門。伯父說他平常也是差不多四點出門散步再回家吃早餐。（後來才聽Kat說伯父是個作息很神奇的人，十點到十一點睡，三點起，一天的睡眠大概就是這樣。老醫生的作息就是這麼樸實無華，所以可以退休後繼續做研究。）...
